Work out how much epoxy resin you need for a rectangular mold, river table pour, round mold or a flood coat, then split it into resin and hardener by your product's mix ratio. Everything computes in your browser.
How the calculation works
Volume = length × width × depth (or π × radius² × depth for round shapes), multiplied by the number of pieces, plus your waste allowance for resin left in cups, drips and overflow. One cubic inch is 16.387 ml, and one US fluid ounce is 29.574 ml. The total is then divided by your mix ratio: for 1:1 each part is half; for 2:1 the resin is two thirds and the hardener one third.
Tips
Check your product's maximum pour depth. Deep-pour resins can go thicker in one layer; coating resins usually cannot, so a thick piece may need several layers.
If your product gives the ratio by weight instead of volume, use the weight ratio from the label with a scale instead of this volume split.
Wood absorbs resin and live edges leak: a 10–15% allowance is common for river tables.
